One of the best Indian food we had in Ireland. Great taste, nice spice level, good service.
Jibu was very helpful in service and also extended for us when we reached the restaurant late at 9PM and was happy to serve us.
The food was so tasty that our group decided to have lunch next day also at the same place.

Masala Chowk in Letterkenny has come a long way, especially after its recent renovation — the place feels brighter, cleaner, and far more inviting than before ✨. The plenty of parking space is a huge plus, making it easy to pop in without the usual town‑centre hassle 🚗.
During my visit, I ordered Masala dosa, channa bhatura, and chicken curry for the mains, along with a tandoori leg piece as a starter. Each dish had its own charm — the dosa was crisp and well‑spiced, the channa bhatura came with fluffy bhaturas and rich chickpea curry, and the chicken curry had a comforting, homestyle flavour 🍛. The tandoori leg piece was tender with a nice smoky finish 🔥. I wrapped up the meal with their masala chai, which was warm, aromatic, and genuinely well‑made ☕.
One thing worth mentioning is a recent drawback: they seem heavily focused on party and catering orders, and because of that, the dine‑in experience — which usually only operates in the evenings — can feel a bit overlooked. At times, it feels like the restaurant side gets less attention while they juggle big orders 🎉.
Overall, the food is still solid, the renovation has improved the kitchen, and with a little more balance between catering and dine‑in service, Masala Chowk could easily shine even brighter.
Visited Masala Chowk and had a pleasant experience. Only had tea as snacks weren’t available at that time, but the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The tea was strong and really good—reminded me of the kind you get in Kerala. The place was neat and well-maintained. Nice spot for a simple bite.
